The privacy of our customers has always been of utmost important to the Gerson & Panesar LLC.  The privacy policy outlined below applies to the Social Security data we collect from you.  This is our notice to you about why we collect your personal information, how we use it, who we share it with and how we protection the information we collect and maintain.

How and why we collect your personal information depends on your case and will be specifically explained at the time of collection, but in general:

•We ask that you provide us with your Social Security number at the time we initially undertake the financing of the purchase money security agreement.
•We need your Social Security number to obtain your credit history and customer account verification.  We do not use the information for any other internal secondary purpose.
•Sometimes it is required for litigation purposes (the Texas legislature now requires on all new cases since 09/01/2008 the last 3 digits of a plaintiff's social security number and driver's license number). This firm has resisted this pleading disclosure due to its privacy invasion and possible conflict with federal law; however, we have not yet been ordered to plead this matter.
•We collect personal information about you (e.g., your name, email address, Social Security number, driver’s license, or other unique identifier) only if you specifically and knowingly give it to us, only for the purpose of litigation, client contact, or research or investigation of your situation.

How this personal information is protected:

•We will take reasonable precautions to maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of the information we collect.
•Information in your account is confidential and is only accessible to employees of the Gerson & Panesar LLC. Further any document scanned will blot out confidential information.

How and when we will use your personal information:

•We do not sell the information we collect.
•The personal information you give us will be used only in connection with the establishment and collection of your account and for the purposes described in this document or at the point of sale.

Who we will share your personal information with:

•We may disclose your Social Security number to employers, credit information centers, the Gerson & Panesar LLC, and Internal Revenue Service to establish your credit history, set your account, and collect, if necessary.

How we dispose of this personal information:

•At the conclusion of your account, this information will be destroyed from our records.  The Gerson & Panesar LLC may retain your personal information and dispose of it according to their privacy policy and record retention policies.
